Our Vision

All persons everywhere have access to the toilets, hygiene and menstrual health services they need and that these are maintained sustainably, including containment emptying, transport and treatment of waste, for the well-being of communities and the planet.

Sanitation and hygiene, and menstrual health and hygiene (MHH), are essential to meet human rights and human needs. They can also provide value and opportunity for individuals, the economy and the environment. 

SHF drives change by working with those along the sanitation and MHH value chain needing investment, and with those having funds to invest. We focus on country priorities to tackle complex issues that are limiting the sanitation economy and menstrual health and hygiene market, including the role of the private sector.
